Over the course of his career he has published over 300 publications: including 9 books, 50 book chapters, 40 conference papers, and 100 refereed research papers.

In 2012, “Living with the Trees of Life: Towards the Transformation of Tropical Agriculture” will be published by CABI. This book presents the development of agroforestry within the context of his personal experience of travelling and working in many countries of Africa, north, central and south America and the Caribbean; the Middle East; and south, south-east Asia and Oceania.
